Headstone Ideas for a Magician

Magicians bring wonder to children's parties, stages and street corners. For someone who loved to amaze, a memorial can keep a little of that magic — with a wink.

Symbol and etching ideas

• A top hat and wand.
• A fan of playing cards — perhaps an ace of hearts.
• A rabbit peeking from the hat.
• Stars and sparkles — see star meaning.
• A stage curtain framing the name.

Personal touches

• Stage name alongside their real name.
• Signature trick.
• Magic society or club in words.
• Venues — birthday parties, cruise ships, clubs.

Epitaph ideas

• And for my final trick…
• Now you see me.
• The magic lives on.
• He made the world wonder.
• Vanished — but never forgotten.

A wink for visitors

Some magicians plan a playful touch: a playing card etched on the back, or a line that reads differently from a distance. Discuss any hidden detail with the monument company so it reads clearly on granite.

Respecting the craft

Magicians traditionally guard their secrets, so a memorial shouldn't reveal how a trick works — but naming a famous routine is a lovely tribute that fellow magicians will recognise.

Design tips

• Top hats and cards etch beautifully on black granite.
